Nesta quinta-feira, o jogador foi o escolhido para conversar com a imprensa no Fazendão e falou um pouco sobre a noite de artilheiro na Fonte Nova.

“Tem vários jogos que eu estou esperando sobrar essa bola no escanteio. Não estava acontecendo. Mas tudo tem momento certo para acontecer. Nem sempre elas acontecem. Na comemoração, Zé Rafael explicou seu gesto e garantiu que a homenagem foi para o filho, que gosta do desenho Mundo Bita.

“Homenageando o meu filho, que amo tanto. Então acho que juntei o útil ao agradável. Acabei conseguindo deixar até uma marca aí e espero poder comemorar muitos gols dessa forma”.

Com o Tricolor na zona de rebaixamento do Brasileirão, Zé Rafael espera que a equipe possa reagir e chegar na parada da Copa do Mundo em situação confortável.

Peter Siddle, unaccustomed to being an observer from the boundary, reckoned consistent, dry bowling would extract the sorts of indiscriminate strokes Australia are looking for.”As you’ve seen the wickets that have offered up less he’s scored runs on, whereas you look up in Brisbane where there was a bit of bounce and a bit of seam he struggled,” Siddle said. “Obviously he’s pretty accustomed to batting on the flatter, soft, slower wickets. Sydney might be a different story over the first few days so whoever it is we’ll get stuck in and try and build pressure on him. We’ve had a lot of success against him in the past. Obviously he’s in good nick and working hard but it will be another good contest here.”I think it’s pretty much the same for the most of the Indian batting line-up. They are a side that are aggressive, they like to feel bat on ball and they like to keep the runs ticking over. I think he’s no different to a few of the others. It is about being boring. It’s Test cricket. That’s what makes it so fun – the patience, working a batsman over and then getting him out. That shows good commitment and no doubt we’ll be looking forward to knocking Kohli over early, that’d be a good start.”

O Santos pode reencontrar uma dupla conhecida neste domingo quando enfrenta o Athletico-PR, às 16h, na Vila Belmiro, pela 18ª rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro. Trata-se do zagueiro Robson Bambu e do volante Léo Cittadini, crias da base do Peixe.

As conversas por renovações de ambos foram polêmicas e levaram cerca de meses para ter um desfecho. Dentre discussões de base salarial, tempo de contrato e percentual de venda, Cittadini foi afastado dos jogos e somente treinava no CT Rei Pelé. Bambu, por sua vez, jogou até as últimas semanas antes de encerrar seu contrato com o Santos.

A diretoria do Santos reconhece a falta de esforço que teve com Léo Cittadini e Robson Bambu, pois não considerava os atletas como insubstituíveis, tendo boas peças para suprir as ausências. Em 2019, para os setores da zaga e do meio-campo defensivo, o Alvinegro contratou Felipe Aguilar e Jean Lucas, respectivamente. O volante Jobson foi outro nome que reforçou o Peixe neste ano, mas ainda não estreou.

O Santos manteve a filosofia e demorou para renovar com jogadores da base no começo deste ano. O Peixe ainda não assinou um novo vínculo com o zagueiro Gustavo Henrique, perdeu o jovem defensor Kaique Rocha para a Sampdoria-ITA e o lateral-esquerdo Caju para o Braga-POR, além de ter demorado quase seis meses para reintegrar o volante Sandry após negociações pelo primeiro contrato profissional.

O Peixe acredita que a filosofia de demorar para negociar renovações se dava pelo clube não ter um diretor de futebol até julho deste ano, quando Paulo Autuori foi contratado. Com Renato afastado, Peres controlava a maioria dos setores do Santos e contava só com a ajuda do gerente Gabriel Andreata no primeiro semestre.

-Cittadini não quis renovar. Fez uma pedida absurda, até mais de R$ 200 mil. Acho cedo para ter um aumento desse tipo, ainda não se firmou. Ele deixou passar o tempo, o técnico pede e está usando. Me ligaram de fora e me perguntaram se o Santos liberaria agora com uma participação pequena. O Cittadini não quis dizer o nome, deve ser um time português, mas não é o Benfica. O diretor do Benfica é meu amigo pessoal, não queria confusão com o Santos. O jogador fica até o último dia do contrato aqui. Queriam passar 20% dos direitos, mas o Santos queria ao menos 50% – declarou o mandatário santista ao site “Globoesporte.com”, em agosto do ano passado.

Cittadini subiu ao profissional do Santos em 2013 após estar no elenco campeão da Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, enquanto Robson chamou atenção do então técnico Jair Ventura, logo no início de 2018. Com boas atuações, mas sem a renovação de contrato, ambos seguiram sem custos para o Furacão no fim de 2018.

Diante de um Athletico-PR finalista da Copa do Brasil e com velhos conhecidos, o Santos tenta voltar à liderança do Brasileiro. O Peixe está na segunda colocação do torneio nacional, com a mesma pontuação do líder Flamengo, 36, mas perde no saldo de gols.

Rain has affected the whole series, with the Twenty20 matches and the first round of matches in the one-day series all being shortened.On Thursday, the game between Netherlands women and Pakistan women was reduced to a 20-over match but still there could be no play after Netherlands’ innings. The other match between Sri Lanka women and Ireland women was abandoned after Sri Lanka played their shortened innings of 48 overs.At the Nondescripts Cricket Ground Netherlands women were put in to bat and only managed to get to 68 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs. However, Pakistan women never got a chance to start their chase.Sri Lanka women reached 251 for 5 against Ireland women at the P Sara Oval, thanks to Atapattu’s 111 off 110 balls. Atapattu’s score was 23 runs more than the previous highest score by a Sri Lankan woman.

That lifted Knights to 166, despite another impressive effort from Adam Milne. Till the start of this tournament, the injury-prone Milne hadn’t played competitive cricket since January, but he has now turned in three economical performances in a row, finishing with 1 for 19 today.Another player who has had major injury troubles in recent years, Daniel Vettori, also turned in a frugal bowling effort – 4-0-14-0 – as Knights tied down Central to 141.
