According to The Telegraph’s Jason Burt, the highly-rated 36-year-old is one of several potential candidates identified to fill the vacancy at Old Trafford.

He tweeted an update on the search for Solskjaer’s successor, writing: “Includes a new name being put forward: Sporting coach Ruben Amorim.”

Rodgers was believed to be the frontrunner to take over the United hot seat prior to Solskjaer’s dismissal, but Amorim has since emerged as an exciting alternative.

Appointing Amorim would represent a huge risk for the Red Devils’ hierarchy, given his lack of experience, but the Portuguese tactician has quickly established himself as one of the most intriguing young coaches in the modern era.

After a brief 13-game spell in charge of SC Braga between December 2019 and March 2020, the retired centre-back earned a move to Primeira Liga giants Sporting.

In his maiden campaign at the helm of the capital club, Amorim guided the Verde e Brancos to their first top-flight title since 2002, suffering just one defeat in their 34-league fixtures, breaking Benfica and Porto’s duopoly in emphatic fashion.

With a record of 66 victories from his 89 games in the managerial dugout giving him a win percentage of 74%, it’s easy to understand why the young tactician is so highly thought of.

And his style of play perfectly lends itself to becoming the next manager to take United forward and build on the good work that Solskjaer has left behind.

A report from Total Football Analysis illustrates how Amorim favours a 3-4-3 system with a lot of fluid movement in the attacking phase, positional play and counter-pressing with lots of vertical passes in the build-up phase.

Therefore, his modern, forward-thinking approach would make for an exciting if risky appointment, but one that the Glazers should carefully consider if they want to compete with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool for football’s top prizes.

أكد أحمد سيد زيزو لاعب الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي الزمالك، أن فوز الأبيض بلقب الدوري كان هاما للغاية بالنسبة له، مشيرًا إلى أنه منذ تطبيق تقنية الفيديو والأبيض يحصد لقب البطولة.

وقال زيزو في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر فضائية “إم بي سي مصر”: “قبل أن أكون لاعبًا في الزمالك أنا مُشجع، ويصلني شعور الجماهير لأنني واحد منهم، موسم كان صعب والحمد لله على التتويج”.

وتابع: “الجماهير لم تكن تعلم الكواليس داخل النادي في الموسم الماضي، مررنا بظروف لا يتحملها أي ناد أو أي لاعبين في العالم، ولكن لأن لاعبي الزمالك يحبون بعضهم وصلنا لما نحن فيه”.

وأكمل: “كل شهر تأتي إدارة جديدة، وكنا لا نعرف مع من نتواصل، ولكن لأن اللاعبين يحبون الزمالك كانوا يعطون ما عندهم؛ لذلك مررنا بظروف صعبة وحصدنا اللقب، شيكابالا قالها بعد الموسم الماضي، لو كرة فقط سنحصد الدوري”.

وأضاف: “بعد رحيل باتريس كارتيرون عن الزمالك، جاء فيريرا وقال العبوا على راحتكم، ومجلس مرتضى منصور أعطى اللاعبين مستحقاتهم، وحدث استقرار ذهني عند اللاعبين”.

وزاد: “على المستوى الشخصي هذا الدوري كان مهمًا بالنسبة لي، التتويج بهذا اللقب كان مهمًا أكثر من الموسم الماضي، لأن الأبيض لم يفز بطولتين دوري متتاليتين منذ فترة طويلة”.

وبسؤاله، هل حصد الدوري هذا الموسم كان كرة فقط مثلما قال شيكابالا؟ أجاب: “تقنية الفار تعطي 90% من العدالة، ومنذ سنتين وقت تطبيق التقنية، الزمالك توج باللقب مرتين”.

وعن رأيه فيما يقوله البعض إن الزمالك فاز بالدوري لأن الأهلي كان سيئًا؟، قال: “لو فكرنا بنفس هذا المنطق ممكن أن نقول إن الأهلي فاز بكل الدوريات السابقة لأن الزمالك كان سيئًا، الأهلي عندما كان يفوز بالدوري كان الأفضل في فترة من الفترات، والزمالك فاز موسمين متتالييين لأنه الأفضل، لا يجب أن يتم التقليل من إعجاز حدث، نحن لم نحصل على كأس عالم، ولكن أقول ذلك بسبب الظروف الصعبة التي لا يتحملها أي لاعب في العالم”.

وأكمل: “فيريرا زرع فينا الثقة، وأننا نستطيع عمل كل شيء، وكأن شخص كان يغرق وهو طوق النجاة، جعلنا نُصدق إننا نستطيع أن نُقدم شيئًا رغم أن الموسم كان مُنتهيًا إكلينيكيًا”.

واختتم: “لا نستطيع أن نعد الجماهير بأي بطولة، لكن ما نعد به هو أننا سنبذل كل جهدنا، ولن يبخل أي لاعب بنقطة عرق من أجل إسعاد الجماهير دائمًا”.

A number of Manchester United fans hit out at Marcus Rashford’s display in the 3-2 win over Arsenal on Thursday night.

The 24-year-old, who missed the beginning of the season due to a shoulder injury, was making his first Premier League start of the campaign as a right midfielder after previously turning out in a central role or on the left.

Fellow Englishman Jadon Sancho was on the left, with Cristiano Ronaldo selected up top. Rashford did set up the 36-year-old in the second half to put United in front, but apart from that, he struggled to impress.

As per SofaScore, the 24-year-old failed with both of his crosses, was unsuccessful in all three dribbles attempted and lost six of his eight duels (75%). As a result, he was brought off with 11 minutes remaining for Jesse Lingard as United held on for the win.

أكد الهولندي إريك تين هاج المدير الفني لفريق مانشستر يونايتد الإنجليزي أن نجمه البرتغالي كريستيانو رونالدو، كان بحاجة لهذا الهدف الذي أحرزه في شباك شيريف تيراسبول بالدوري الأوروبي.

وبعد صيام تهديفي منذ بداية الموسم، سجل رونالدو هدفه الأول في الموسم الجاري، خلال فوز مانشستر يونايتد على شيريف (2-0)، وأحرز الهدف من ركلة جزاء.
