“Los Angeles has truly become home for me and my family and I wouldn’t want to play anywhere else. The community the club has built is incredible and I look forward to playing many more games in front of the best fans in the NWSL.”

She also tweeted a gif on social media after her deal was announced.

Nothing can be ruled out over the final week of Euro 2020 but, right now, Vladimir Petkovic's side are huge underdogs.

Arguably the weakest team left in the competition, Ukraine will have to pick themselves up and dust themselves off after what was a bruising, 120-minute-long victory over Sweden in the last 16.

They now face the prospect of having to break down England in the quarter-finals, and though a potential semi-final against either Denmark or Czech Republic looks easier on paper, they are undoubtedly the team with the least talent left on their side of the draw.

There is no doubt that Czech Republic are a growing force in European football, and their victory over Netherlands in the last 16 confirmed what many have been saying about their increasing strength heading into the tournament.

A quarter-final meeting with Denmark would have delighted them heading into the tournament, and with Patrik Schick looking like Cristiano Ronaldo's main challenger for the Golden Boot, they will fancy their chances of progressing once more.

They might be unfancied ahead of their clash in Baku, but the Czechs cannot be ruled out.

Whether you believe in the power of momentum or not, there is no question that this Denmark side is riding some sort of wave as they continue to lift themselves following the trauma of their opening game of the tournament.

The swatting aside of Wales was arguably the most complete performance of the last 16, and they now find themselves in a position where they are favourites to reach the semi-finals.

In terms of quality, they are lacking compared to the four teams above them in these rankings, but there is no doubting their character and togetherness, and that could still carry them all the way to the final.

Sharjeel Khan scored the first hundred of the Pakistan Super League as Islamabad United galloped into the final with a comprehensive 50-run win against Peshawar Zalmi. Sharjeel’s 50-ball hundred powered Islamabad to 176 for 3 before left-arm spinner Imran Khalid’s four-for made sure Peshawar were bowled out for 126 with two overs to spare.Put in to bat, Islamabad put together a 108-run opening stand in 13.1 overs, a majority of the runs coming off Sharjeel’s blade. Dwayne Smith, the other opener, struggled to get bat on ball during his stay of 37 balls to score 19 runs without a single boundary.In the ninth over, Sharjeel unleashed two sixes and a four against left-arm spinner Mohammad Asghar. He followed that up with an attack on Shahid Afridi too in the next over to bring up his fifty. The most eventful over, though, was the 14th in which Shaun Tait dismissed Smith and Brad Haddin off consecutive deliveries, but Kamran Akmal dropped Khalid Latif to deprive Tait of a hat-trick. Sharjeel then struck the next two balls of the over for a four and six.He brought up his hundred, studded with 12 fours and eight sixes, in style with a straight six in the 16th over and helped Islamabad score 46 in the last five overs. He was run-out for 117 in the last over of the innings.Peshawar started slow in the Powerplay and were dented when Samuel Badree dismissed Dawid Malan in the fourth over. Glamorgan came back brilliantly in the last five overs against Middlesex to win a game that seemed lost. Dawid Malan’s 70 off 55 balls appeared to be enough to give the visitors victory but some fine death bowling from Michael Hogan and Graham Wagg saw the hosts claim their first win at Cardiff of the season.The Middlesex chase started briskly as Malan combined with Nick Compton in an opening stand that progressed at almost 10 an over. Compton fell to the bowling of Wayne Parnell, but that led to the appearance of Australian Joe Burns at the crease. His brisk 21 off 10 balls included two massive sixes hit into the River Taff.It was Malan that held the chase together but his 70 off 54 balls was not without good fortune. He was dropped twice in two balls off Andrew Salter when on 47 and then again when on 60 off Hogan. Glamorgan looked to have thrown the game away with those split catches and when Malan and Morgan were together Middlesex were cruising.Insights

You can look back on almost any significant run-scoring shot and claim it to be pivotal in a match as close as this, but there was something match-defining about the eighth over bowled by Nathan Sowter. Sowter, a legspinner of some promise, was reverse-scooped and swept for three consecutive fours in one over that yielded 19 runs–the second most profligate over of the match, and a moment deserving of a mention.

When both men departed in quick succession the Middlesex middle order could not keep the rate under control. They needed 13 to win off the final over and Wagg restricted them to just eight.Glamorgan went with a third different opening partnership in as many games in an attempt to give some impetus to the start of their innings after two successive home defeats. Fresh from his second first-class hundred of the season, Craig Meschede was promoted to open.Despite this change the boundaries were hard to come by with Glamorgan reaching 41 for no loss off the Powerplay overs. It was when 22-year-old leg spin bowler Nathan Sowter was brought into the attack that Glamorgan started to find the boundary. His first three deliveries were reverse hit for four by Jacques Rudolph during an over than cost Middlesex 19 runs.Rudolph went on to score his eighth fifty for Glamorgan in 17 innings before he fell to a skier off the bowling of Dexter. Umar Gul, who had been omitted by the selectors for the ODIs, will join the team as his replacement. Adil is the fourth Pakistan player to be ruled out of the series after Sohaib Maqsood, Sohail Khan and Yasir Shah had pulled out due to injuries.It is understood that Adil picked up the injury during training ahead of the first ODI on Friday, which Pakistan lost by 79 runs, only their second loss to Bangladesh in ODIs. وقال الاتحاد الإنجليزي إنه سيقف دقيقة صمت وسيطلب من اللاعبين ارتداء شارات سوداء، وسيتم حظر استخدام أعلام فلسطين والكيان الصهيوني.

وأضاف: “أفكارنا معهم ومع عائلاتهم وأصدقائهم في إنجلترا وأستراليا ومع جميع المجتمعات المتضررة من هذا الصراع المستمر، نحن نقف من أجل الإنسانية ووضع حد للموت والعنف والخوف والمعاناة”.

وتابع: “سيرتدي لاعبو إنجلترا وأستراليا شارات سوداء خلال المباراة على ملعب ويمبلي، وستكون هناك أيضًا فترة صمت قبل انطلاق المباراة”.

وأشار: “بعد المناقشات، سنسمح فقط بأعلام الدول المتنافسة داخل استاد ويمبلي للمباريات القادمة ضد أستراليا في 13 أكتوبر وإيطاليا في 17 أكتوبر”.

وأتم: “أطلق الصليب الأحمر البريطاني أيضًا نداءً طارئًا لدعم الأشخاص المتضررين من الأزمة الإنسانية في المنطقة، وسنعمل على الترويج لهذا النداء داخل الملعب يوم الجمعة”.

ويأتي ذلك بعد اجتماع أمس في مقر الاتحاد الإنجليزي لمناقشة كيفية إظهار رد الفعل على الأحداث، حيث رأى البعض أن إضاءة القوس قد تكون مثيرة للانقسام، بحسب ما أفادت “بي بي سي”.

وأفادت أن كبار المسؤولين يشعرون بالقلق من التصور بأنهم ينحازون إلى أحد الجانبين في الصراع.

تحدث بيتر كراوتش لاعب ليفربول السابق، عن مستقبل المصري محمد صلاح وإمكانية انضمامه إلى اتحاد جدة السعودي.

وشهدت انتقالات الصيف الجاري، اهتمامًا من جانب اتحاد جدة الذي تقدم بعرض إلى ليفربول لضم محمد صلاح، لكن النادي الإنجليزي أغلق الباب أمامه، ورفض العرض المقدر بـ150 مليون جنيه إسترليني لبيع اللاعب.

ويرى بيتر كراوتش أن ليفربول يمكن أن يُغيّر رأيه حين يدخل محمد صلاح العام الأخير من عقده، على أن يستفيد النادي ماليًا من بيعه.

وقال كراوتش في تصريحات نشرتها صحيفة “ميرور” البريطانية: “لا يبدو أن صلاح كان منزعجًا أو أظهر رغبة، ولكن هناك عنصرًا فيه ربما كان مستعدًا للمحادثة، لكنه يبدو أكثر من سعيد حيث هو، لا يمكنك الجلوس هنا وتحسده إذا أراد الانتقال”.

وتابع: “لقد فاز بكل شيء، وسجل أهدافًا أكثر من أي شخص آخر في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز لصالح ليفربول، إنه أمر لا يصدق تمامًا ما حققه وما زال يحققه، من الواضح وأنا أنتمي إلى ليفربول، أريده أن يبقى لأطول فترة ممكنة لأنه لا يظهر أي علامة على الاستسلام على الإطلاق”.

وأكد: “ولكن حتى أقوى مشجعي ليفربول سيفهمون ذلك، لقد أثبت السعوديون أنهم إذا أرادوا شخصًا ما فسوف يحصلون عليه، ومع صلاح أعتقد أن الأمر سيستمر هذا الموسم”.

واستطرد كراوتش: “صلاح سيكون مخلصًا لليفربول هذا الموسم، لكن قد يكون الأمر مفيدًا لكلا الطرفين حقًا إذا حصلوا على مبلغ كبير مقابل بيعه، وبالنسبة له هناك مكاسب مالية واضحة من اللعب في المملكة العربية السعودية”.

وأشار: “إذا كنت تبلغ من العمر 31 أو 32 عامًا وحققت الفوز بكل شيء، فلا أعتقد أنه يمكنك الاستياء حقًا، لا أستطيع الجلوس هنا وأقول إننا لا نعرف جميعًا سبب ذهاب الناس إلى هناك، هذا هو الحال، ولن يتغير ذلك”.

وأصر: “أنا متأكد من أن الدوري سيصبح تنافسيًا، ولكن لنكن صادقين، إنه على بعد أميال من المكان الذي تريد أن تكون فيه كلاعب شاب”.

وأتم كراوتش: “إذا كان عمرك 21 أو 22 عامًا وأتيحت لك فرصة الذهاب إلى ريال مدريد أو برشلونة أو ليفربول بدلاً من الدوري السعودي، بالطبع ستختار الدوريات الأوروبية، إلا إذا كان لديك دوافع مالية”.
